Trinity Hospice London, Fundraising Challenges
Permanex is a proud sponsor of the Trinity Hospice London Fundraising Challenges in particular the Trek Across Cuba. The challenge program is an important part of Trinity Hospice’s fundraising - in the past year around 500 people have taken part in all manner of challenges and raised a fantastic amount close to £250,000.
Trinity cares for over 1400 patients every year, completely free of charge to the patient and their family – Trinity’s care allows people to live their life to the full – no matter how long or short a time they have left. Most patients (over 90%) cared for by Trinity have cancer. Every effort is made to ensure that patients have peace, dignity and as much freedom from pain as possible to the very end of their lives.
 

Virgin North Atlantic Row
Permanex is a proud sponsor of the Virgin North Atlantic Row. The North Atlantic Ocean, 1 pair of Oars, 3000 NM, with only muscle power for propulsion, racing against the clock, extreme weather, 50ft waves and even sharks. In May 2005 Olly Hicks will cast off from New York City bound for Falmouth in Great Britain.
The Virgin Atlantic Challenge aims to:
* Set a World Record as the youngest to row the Atlantic West to East. * Be the first person to reach the British Mainland by rowing boat. * Beat the current West East Atlantic Record of 62 days. * Raise over £60,000 for Hope and Homes for Children. * Further medical research into endurance sports and their effect on the human body.
